The Southbank Centre has a packed programme aimed at youngsters, including Gamelan Group Workshops, where children can discover and have a go at playing various percussion orchestra from Indonesia. As well as that, Royal Festival Hall will host Music Maze for Children, part of Nordic Music Days, allowing kids to bring in their own instrument, compose and perform a piece of contemporary music!
Family Favourites at BFI Southbank
With screenings of My Life as a Courgette, Willow, and The Red Balloon, there's something for the whole family this season at the BFI. You may also want to head to Saturday Film Clubs for Children featuring workshops, activities, screenings and more!
House of Vans
This underground maze of tunnels and ramps has become something of a skateboarding haven in recent years, and you can head there for a variety of activities - even if you don't fancy getting on a board! There are film screenings every Saturday and Sunday in their 100 seat cinema alongside free BMX and skate sessions for little ones.
The Clore Learning Centre provides young theatre-lovers the chance to discover what goes on behind-the-scenes at National Theatre productions. Family Days also give adults and children alike the chance to try their hand at composing music, learn about costume design and stage fighting!
