Erith Pier & Lighthouse
Thur 7 – Sun 24 September, Erith Pier
London’s longest pier comes alive with 170 years of Thames-side history. Explore Changing Sails by Julia Snowdin, an ambitious installation that won the inaugural Pier Commission, and London's second lighthouse which will be by the pier for three weeks in September.
Putney River Life Funday
Sat 9 September, Putney Wharf & Church Square
Set along the Putney riverbank, this is a packed day of activities including live music, street food, stalls, kid’s zone plus you can enjoy the Great River Race as it passes.
Classic Boat Festival
Sat 9 – Sun 10 September, St. Katharine Docks
This is an old favourite with over 40 vintage work boats and sailing and motor yachts including Little Dunkirk Ships that you can explore and get on board of. Plus Moo Canoes will be offering free drop-in canoe trials on the water!
Sun 10 September, Strand on the Green, Chiswick
An annual event to celebrate the recreational importance of the Thames packed with great activities including foreshore walks, boat trips, kayaking, nature reserve visits, angling games and more. You can also try your hand at Stand-up Paddleboarding with Active 360's taster sessions.
Fri 15 – Sun 17 September, Watermans
A weekend arts festival in the spectacular riverside setting of Brentford featuring outdoor cinema screenings, creative workshops, hair sculpture and much more. Don't miss Maria Arceo's Future Dust which will be there for the duration of the weekend.
Thamesmead Town Fete Fri 15 – Sun 17 September, The Link
Discover untold stories and unexpected waterside happenings featuring the best of Thamesmead’s creative talent presented by Emergency Exit Arts across the iconic Southmere Lake and other locations. SoapBox Science will also be there to bring science to arts fans and art to scientists.
