For the next 6 days our Christmas reveal campaign will be taking a festive flashback to our programme over the last 19 years. For day 1 of our festive flashback we’re spotlighting Kids' Choir our educational project that nurtures singing, music and performing skills through a seven month engagement programme delivered in schools.
Now in its thirteenth year, the project has engaged over 9,000 pupils across London and entertained audiences at Thames Festival and Totally Thames since 2003. In 2016, Kids' Choir was led by conductor Richard Frostick and featured a new commission by renowned children's composer Lin Marsh alongside many world and river themed songs.
Read what some of the participants had to say:
“I liked that we got to sing outside and the way our voices echoed altogether. It was lovely because it was a wonderful day and the sun was shining.”
Ruth, aged 10
“The music was amazing and Richard Frostick was great, he made it really fun to be a part of the concert.”
Benedicte, aged 10
“ I enjoyed that we got to sing outside in the sunshine, and all of the schools voices echoed in the scoop.”
Rhianna, aged 10
