Hermitage Community Moorings provides berths for up to 20 historic vessels.
See the 1513: A Ships’ Opera performers: historic ships VIC 56, VIC 95, Kent, De Walvisch, Barking and Fearnought and talk to the crews. Take in David Kew’s The Last of the Watermen – a beautiful film depicting the river Thames as seen through the eyes of Peter Duggan, tug and barge skipper and one of the river’s longest serving watermen.

Live history with a Thames cruise aboard the SB Lady Daphne. Built in 1923 for English coastal trade, this classic vessel one of London’s most well known wooden red-sailed ships that dominated London's skyline in the days before road transport. To top it all, Tower Bridge will be raised twice especially for you.

It’s fast, it’s furious and it’s a world first. Thames Rockets is a new thrilling, high-speed boat ride blasting off this summer in the capital and operating exclusively in the new Thames ‘high speed zone’, the first public boat to do so. Come aboard at St Katharine Docks for this racy river extravaganza, set to a best of British medley.

Your chance to get behind the scenes at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s busiest station. Ever since it opened in January 2002 Tower Lifeboat Station has been the busiest in the entire RNLI, with crew on duty 24 hours a day every day throughout the year.
Learn what keeps Tower Lifeboat so busy, and about the RNLI’s work round the whole of the UK and Ireland. See the crew kit, the duty lifeboat and the modern facilities on a pier built at the same time as the embankment itself and used as a river police station for over 125 years.

Come join The Golden Hinde as we take part in the annual Thames Festival, celebrating everything great about the South Bank and the Thames pathway. Join a 30-minute guided tour and explore this fantastic ship, learning about the life of a Tudor sailor along the way.
