The Little Baroque Company plays a selection of Handel’s Water Music, ﬁrst performed in 1717 followed by William Carslake's The Singing Glacier, which mixes Music with Film and Live Poetry.
This is a full orchestra presentation of extracts of Handel’s Water Music to celebrate the 300th anniversary of this piece. Followed by the work of young and new composer William Carslake The Singing Glacier with ﬁlm and poetry. A performance piece and an education project about glacial warming in Greenland. Launching at festivals, schools and conferences in 2017. The Little Baroque Orchestra have commissioned composer William Carslake and poet Helen Mort and ﬁlm director Richard Jones to create a piece for orchestra, silent ﬁlm and spoken poetry, inspired by their ﬁeldwork in Greenland.
